Inspired by the effortless elegance of a classic French boutique, they craft each piece to be uniquely timeless—an enduring 'little jewel' designed to be cherished for generations.
Where Friendship and Fashion Met: The Making of Petite Bijou
The foundation of Petite Bijou began serendipitously at summer camp. Our daughters, Nava and Charlotte, were bunkmates who quickly became fast friends. Their connection was mirrored by ours, as Maddy and Tehilla discovered a profound professional and creative synergy. We realized we shared not only a love for the effortless elegance of Paris and a keen eye for design but also the business acumen and creative vision required to build a brand. Crucially, their girls became the brand's most invaluable collaborators, lending an authentic perspective on a child's comfort and inherent sense of style. This shared passion quickly ignited a drive to make something exceptional and exquisite for the next generation, leading us to create Petite Bijou.
The Moment We Knew
A couple of years later, our daughters, Nava and Charlotte, requested a birthday trip to Paris—a fitting choice we immediately embraced. Planning our perfect city adventure, we sought high-end, charming outfits that embodied our shared aesthetic. Frustrated by the lack of beautifully crafted options for them, we resolved to design and create the coats ourselves. It was on the streets of Paris that the true vision was revealed: we couldn't walk half a block without being stopped and asked where the coats were from. Seeing the girls’ delighted, playful smiles, we knew we had created something truly exceptional.
Birthing the Brand: Dedication, Design, and the Name Petite Bijou
The vision for Petite Bijou demanded a relentless commitment. Our collaboration turned our homes into studios, where months of sleepless nights were spent meticulously refining designs, sourcing the softest fabrics, and creating a logo that spoke to effortless elegance. The name was the final piece of the puzzle. Inspired by our daughters, Nava and Charlotte—our "petites bijoux" or little jewels—we chose a name that not only honored them as our muses but also embodied the brand's promise: to create exquisite, high-quality, and timeless treasures for the next generation.
